Emelia, a seemingly human girl just at the peak of twenty was content with living her human life, despite the Mythika parents and friends she had around her. Emelia enjoyed the bliss that her hospital job brought her and even appreciated the occasional days her friends dragged her to the endless parties in Eros. She hadn’t realized that it all would change with a prick of her finger at the bloodline ceremony or that she would have a goddess talking to her in her head.
After finding out that everything in her life had been a lie, a series of attacks lay out in Eros, directed towards the royal families. With her new found responsibility, Emelia seeks out to investigate and find out who is behind these attacks with the help of Kaius Demontae and her other close comrades.
When Emelia gets close to uncovering the truth, she is wrapped into more confusion and lies.
Emelia discovers herself, her mind, her body, and her power. Her strength grows and the weight of the world seems to press heavier on her shoulders. With the changes in her life, and the constant stream of deception, Emelia decides to take control of her own destiny.

Taking no survivors, she seeks to uncover the new rebel leader and those responsible for harming the people she loves.
While Emelia not only faces the rebels at hand, she finds herself in an internal battle. Losing her magic and her health collapsing, the tether between her and Estreia is pulling tightly like a looming death as the merge inches closer. As more information is uncovered and new attacks layout against Emelia, the two hold on to the bond, keeping each of them tied together for as long as possible.
With tensions high and obligations pressing down on everyone in her Camorra, each of them fight to hold on to the people they love. Heartbreak and death are at every angle and Emelia must make the choices that will be what saves or kills them all.

I am a huge fan of paranormal romance, science fiction, and fantasy novels. This book has all of that!! I am also a sucker for strong female characters and the MFC Emelia is amazing. You experience her growth and development as the novel progresses and I think that is my favorite part! I love the different representations of friend groups in this novel and the strong familial bonds as well. Don’t even get me started on the sexual chemistry in this book. *fans myself* K.M. Woods did a fantastic job on her debut novel and I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series!! Woods just released the title for it and I’m so excited for publication!

Let me first start by saying that K.M. Woods had written a fantastic book. I had originally gotten a physical copy a couple years back, and through some reading slumps never got through it. Recently I decided to read it fully, and let me say, wow. From the characters to the world building, it is very obvious that this story is a passion project, and a fantastic one at that. I am excited to see how the story develops in book two and I can’t wait to see what else K.M. Woods will write in the future.
I would recommend this book to those who love fantasy with modern aspects mixed with Greek mythology.

Author K.M. Woods made her mark with her debut novel "Song of Shadow and Light" which is the first book in the 'Orchestra of Divinity' series. K.M. has worked in the medical field during the Covid-19 pandemic and thereafter. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as a spokesperson for those living with disabilities, just as she is. K.M. believes in the equality of all people, no matter their background, and works hard to show that diversity within her novels. K.M. Woods is self-published and proud of what she has accomplished. She hopes you love her work as much as she does!
